We FINALLY got rock!

On Wednesday, August 1st, Steve let us use his semi to unload 106 tons of rock on our 700 foot driveway at our land in Athens where we are going to eventually build our house.  Thank you Steve.  Also thanks to Dan and Tom who drove the semi and unloaded it on our property.  Then Ernie came over with his bobcat on Saturday and spread it for us.  I guess we picked the right best man for our wedding and he has been the best man ever since.  Thanks for all your help.  I don't want to forget the most important person in the mix - my wonderful husband - Ed, who without him none of this would be getting done.  Thanks honey. 

More to come later when there is more progress.

We went to the land Sunday, May 20, 2012 and had Ernie come over with his bobcat and push the tree stumps and roots to the bottom of the hill and then he pushed everything over to the side and smoothed out the hill.  It looks like we can put a road in to the bottom of the hill now but we won't be doing that since that is what we will be looking at from the kitchen. 

Hopefully we can get started on something else soon.
