Dirt Work is done!

Finally the dirt work is done. 

Now if we can just get some grass to grow and get the rock down in the driveway and around the tree!  Making good progress. 

We are getting there, slow but sure!

July 2017 - Ed got the walkway from the garage to our house finished.  It was so hot the days that he worked on it.  I think he did a wonderful job!  Thanks honey!

Update

For those of you who have not heard, we moved into our new house on April 1, 2017.  No - that isn't an April Fool's joke it really happened.  Who would have thought that buying the land in 2009 would lead us to 2017 and finally moving in.  We have worked really hard in getting everything just right for our venture.  We have lost loved ones, pets, friends along the way but we know that they are all looking down on us and celebrating with us. 

Thank you to all of our friends and family who were by our side every step of the way on this journey!

In the Summer it will be all green and  you won't be able to see to the bottom.

2/5/17 - So far so good!

Pictures taken on February 5, 2017.  Things are looking better but still don't have water. 

FINALLY!!! - We have water at the house.

 We finally got our water on Wednesday, March 1, 2017!

Now we can start moving in. 

1/21/17 - Finally getting the water line extended

 FINALLY - the City of Athens has started trenching and bringing the water line down the hill.  Hopefully if won't take too long to get the water back to our house. 

We have to let the line sit for a week, then it needs to be flushed for a week, then the EPA has to test the water.  I wonder how long that will take. 

At least we are almost to getting water.  We have only been waiting since July 2016.

STILL WAITING FOR CITY WATER

I know that I haven't posted anything for a while and that is because there really isn't anything to post.  We are kind of at a stand still waiting for the City of Athens to trench in a fire hydrant at the end of the road so we can hook up and have city water.  We have been waiting for awhile now.  I will be glad when they will get it done and we can have water and get moved in to our new house.  I will post more later.
