We went to the land Sunday, May 20, 2012 and had Ernie come over with his bobcat and push the tree stumps and roots to the bottom of the hill and then he pushed everything over to the side and smoothed out the hill.  It looks like we can put a road in to the bottom of the hill now but we won't be doing that since that is what we will be looking at from the kitchen. 

Hopefully we can get started on something else soon.

What a long day for all of us. We feel like we were hit by a Mac truck today.








We finally ended up flattening off the area that our garage is going to be. Our best man from our wedding brought his bobcat over and flattened it for us. He also helped Ed with the culvert.

At least his machine can move the big stuff that we can't.

Whew - what a hot day in the sun but the garage area was shaded and what a nice breeze.

Yesterday we started out at the land at 8 am and didn't leave until 7 pm, but we got alot done. This is Ed putting on the extension to our culvert.

This will evetually be our front yard.

Our dreams are starting to come true

This area will be where our 30x50 garage will be.
this is the area that will be a circle drive in front of our house and garage.

This picture is actually the hill that the back of our house will be and the basement will have a walk out. Right now the hill is jammed full of the trees that were taken out.

We are really happy that we have gotten this far on everything. Hopefully we will be able to at least get our garage built before the end of the year.

Our next project is to try and get the water line and electrical lines trenched in and then will hopefully get rock on the road.

WOW! We have a wonderful clearing now. Thanks to Ron and his dozer and excavator.
